Bonnie retired in 2016 from her position as The Arlene and Harold Schnitzer Curator of Northwest Art at the Portland Art Museum. She was president of Oregon College of Art & Craft (OCAC)in Portland, Oregon from 2000 to 2010. From 1994-2000 she was executive director of Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art inGreat Falls, Montana. She also served as director of academic affairs and admission at the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon.
She holds an M.F.A. in Painting from Montana State University and a B.F.A. in Painting from the Pacific Northwest College of Art. She currently is on the Board of Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts, and on the Dr. Ethel Simon McWilliams Scholarship Advisory Committee, she has served as chair of the Washington County Arts Heritage and Humanities Coalition; on the board of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design, and on the Ethics Committee of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
Bonnie was born in Seattle, Washington and attended pre-school at Cornish College of the Arts. She has taught studio art courses and art history in the Montana State University system and at art schools in Portland and has exhibited her work in the west and abroad. She enjoys drawing and painting, writing, and fly fishing, among many other things.
