Collagraph printing with carborundum gel.
Learn an easy way to make prints that look like complicated etchings. Collagraphs are an accessible, affordable, and environmentally-friendly printmaking technique. They are made with non-specialist materials using textures to build a plate and hold the ink. Once inked, they are printed with an etching process.
Nancy Clarke will also demonstrate intaglio and relief techniques offering a thorough introductory to the process involved. Using past projects beginning something new, this workshop is a great chance to familiarize yourself with collagraph.
