Magpie to Jewelry-

Come take a brief stroll through the ages to modern use of metals and stones in jewelry. From amulets and talismans for expressing status and beauty, to the creation of one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces.

Art, especially jewelry, is very personal as it is used as a way for one to express themselves to the world.

“I enjoy finding unique focal stones to be the center piece of my designs and combining them with accent stones that enhance their beauty. More often than not, the piece itself directs me in its design and construction.  I believe my pieces are often meant for a specific person, bringing a person hope, joy, comfort.”

Dona currently teaches classes in traditional metal smithing and jewelry techniques as well as metal clay.  Her students continue to be an inspiration to her, fascinating her with the unique perspective each student has conceptually and artistically.

Dona is an award-winning artist. She is currently featured in the 4 Ravens Gallery, Grizzly Claw Gallery, and the Artistic Souls Gallery (online). She has shown her work at a number of gallery shows, as well as Fine Art shows through California, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.
