Discover the ancient art of knotwork carving in this beginner-friendly class. Learn the fundamentals of carving simple yet striking designs in wood, with step-by-step guidance. Once you master the basics, you’ll be on your way to creating intricate, timeless patterns.

Supplies Provided:

  • 6x6x1” wood block
  • C-clamp
  • 1/4” flat carving chisel
  • Wooden mallet/hammer
  • Knotwork design printouts

Instructor: Dean Reganess

Ages: Adult & Youth ages 14+

Class Size: 4-15 students

Instructor Bio: Dean is a classically trained stone and wood sculptor who began carving under the guidance of a Master Carver in Ireland. With over 20 years of experience, he is dedicated to preserving and teaching these ancient crafts to students of all ages.
