Live & Up Front: Penguins & Albatrosses
April 22, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
In October 2014, eight hardy travelers ranging in age from 11 to 81 left the comfort of their homes to explore the windswept Falkland Islands. This adventure was meant to be more than a vacation and turned out to be just one more trip of a lifetime!
Photographer/Biologist, Kendrick Moholt, will present his photographic work and will share stories of locally abundant but globally rare wildlife. Penguins are masters of the icy water under the southern seas. Albatross are masters of the sky above the same. For a student of bird anatomy, nothing could be more startling and exciting than a breeding colony made up of both charismatic birds. But there’s more. When Kendrick shares his work, expected stories of many different feathered friends from faraway lands and don’t be surprised if a few giant sea mammals creep into the tales as well.
