Meet Casey Brown Bag

November 1, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

Casey is the newest employee at the Josephy Center. She is our new Resource Coordinator, and her title for the program is “Museums: Places of Learning.”

Casey Holmes graduated with a Masters Degree in Museum Studies from Baylor University last spring. Her presentation will focus on Museum Education and Visitor Experiences, particularly how visitors learn in museums and galleries and what most visitors are looking for when they walk through the door. “Every museum and gallery has a different mission, target audience, and desired outcome. But at their heart, they both want to reach people, engage them, and make a positive impact on their day.”

Casey’s experience in mounting exhibits and displays, and, generally, in dealing with art and artifact is a perfect fit for the Josephy Center. And I–in the Library–am after her for advice and scheming for ways in which she can help us make the second floor an even better part of this grand experiment.

So join us for coffee and talk. And, if you have a little extra time, we might show off a few of the very precious goodies we have hidden away in the Library.
