Call to Artists – Wild Landscape Imnaha Deadline

June 19 @ 11:30 pm

Every year the Josephy Center celebrates Wallowa County’s natural beauty through a Wild Landscape Exhibit – this year we want to celebrate the diverse landscapes of Imnaha. We invite artists to accompany us for lunch, lecture, and adventure on Saturday, April 23, 2022. To kick it off, we thought we’d meet at the Imnaha Tavern at noon. We will have a few speakers that will share with you the history and the science behind Imnaha terrain and what makes it wild. Artists are not required to attend to participate in the exhibit. Please RSVP by emailing [email protected]

What is a wild landscape? One thing that makes Eastern Oregon so special is untouched and undeveloped landscapes. The Wild Landscape exhibit will celebrate Imnaha’s diverse and wild lands. This means the landscape is the focal point no human-made objects or structures should be visible in the art works.

Each submission is $5 and up to 3 pieces can be submitted. All mediums are welcome. Cash prizes will be awarded.

Exhibit Dates: July 29th, 2022 – September 9th, 2022.

Submissions are due June 19, 2022 before midnight.

Questions – contact Dawn Norman, Program Director: [email protected] or call 541-432-0505 ext. 1111.
