The Class
Set to an eclectic mix of mellow music, this 1-hour 20-minute modern dance class is designed to increase mobility, enhance body awareness, and, most importantly, provide a fun way to stay active during the winter months. The class will begin with a gentle warm-up to gradually increase mobility and prepare your body for movement. Throughout the session, you’ll receive instruction on alignment, muscle engagement, and flow movements that promote coordination, balance, and self-expression while calming your nervous system.
You’ll also learn two short choreography pieces that integrate modern dance technique, musicality, and creative expression. The class will conclude with a relaxation period to calm your mind and body, leaving you feeling centered and rejuvenated.
This class is suitable for all skill levels, with modifications available to ensure accessibility for all.
What to Bring: Yoga mat (some available), water bottle
Level: Beginning to Intermediate (modifications available)
