For the past year, the Library has held a series of Brown Bag lunches, presentations and conversations concerning Josephy, Indians, and Western history and culture. Programs have examined the Civil War in the West, fire in the Wallowas, the evolution of canyon ranching and horse gear, flint knapping and Indian tools, weeds and plants of the Wallowas, etc.
Brown Bags are held first and third Tuesdays at noon, and are open and free to the public. For current programs, you can also check the calendar, or sign on to be a “friend of the library” and get frequent updates. We sometimes have brown bags on the 2nd Tuesday as well, featuring music.
