The exhibit features stone art by Brian Wizard of rural Wallowa County and Henrik Munk Soerensen of La Grande, paper art by Cheri McGee of Enterprise, and fiber art by Dawn Lepper of Enterprise. It will run through Memorial Day weekend.
Opening night will include folk, rock and Americana by the band “Harry Dowerd and the Country Affairs” as well as a Native American flute performance by Roger McGee. No-host bar; complimentary appetizers. Admission is free but a $5 donation is suggested. Martin Hamilton, of Joseph, and Dawn Lepper are serving as exhibit co-curators.
The cover photo shows a fabric painting created by Dawn, who says she is inspired by the natural beauty of Wallowa County and its art community. She combines sewn fabric, graphite, and acrylic paint on stretched canvas.
