These classes back in action this Fall! Sam also is teaching drawing classes starting in August on Tuesdays.

They occur on two Wednesdays of every month, the first and the third. $12 Suggested Donation. There will be a model on set to sketch – all skill levels welcome! Check calendar for schedule.

Borrowing from the long history of using wax as a medium in painting the assembled artists apply their individual sensibilities to bring forth their muse. What is common between them is a dedication to the craft of encaustic painting.

From Maxville to Vanport: A Community-Guided Music and Video Project

Gathering input for a new musical work in community discussion at Josephy Center. 7 to 8:30 pm, Saturday, November 4th, 2017 at Josephy Center for the Arts and Culture. Admission is free, event is open to all. Those with personal ties to descendants of loggers of all ethnicities who worked at Maxville are encouraged to attend, as well as anyone with a particular interest in Oregon history or jazz.
