Calling all Quick Draw Artists!
Artists will spend five days painting on location throughout Wallowa County, capturing the dramatic landscapes, historic towns, and rural beauty of the region. With over $3,500 in awards, the competition celebrates fresh, original plein air work created during the 43rd Annual Wallowa Valley Arts Festival
This exhibit seeks to honor both the long-standing ties to this land and the varied paths that have brought people to Wallowa County. We welcome work that explores identity, memory, culture, belonging, and connection — including but not limited to ancestry, food traditions, handmade practices, personal histories, community stories, and contemporary interpretations of heritage. Our hope is to create a space that reflects the richness and complexity of community.
The Josephy Center's annual Women's Exhibition is one of our most beloved and anticipated events of the year, celebrating the breadth and depth of artistic expression by women artists from across the region and beyond. Each year the exhibition is shaped by a unique theme and guided by a guest curator, bringing a fresh perspective to this cherished tradition.
