The Josephy Center presents a very special art talk featuring the 1st place winner from the Wild Landscape: North Country exhibit.
Come sit for an hour and learn about our very own Wallowa County Museum with Jude Graham.
A community exploration through art, science, and story-telling, of how Wallowa County and NE Oregon communities and landscapes are changing, from climate’s influence, to human and wild populations, to scenery, landscape and health... and what those changes mean to us. Deadline extended to September 1!
Join us for an abstract painting class with Cheryl Coughlan. Paint on a 30"x30" canvas. Beginners are welcome. Learn techniques of how to put paint on the canvas, composition and more. Bring your friends or come alone and meet people who want to throw paint around. We welcome snacks, drinks and conversation. After painting, we do a little discussion about the art we created.
The festival is the largest juried fine art exhibition in Eastern Oregon, featuring representational realism as well as contemporary art from the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

Andie Madsen will be presenting her film, "Water in the Desert," and give a talk at the Josephy Center. The desert is in Morocco, and the film follows archeologists and contemporary Moroccans as they explore a very old way of moving water in hot, harsh climates.

Young artists will create a wide diversity of forms using hand-building techniques. Class includes clay, glazes and firing. Preregistration is required.

An incredible opportunity for beginners and returning students in watercolor; painting practice is the path for exploring the compendium of watercolor rules & techniques. This is an eight-week session for ages 18 and over.
Oregon Humanities is accepting proposals for its Community Storytelling Fellowships. In 2024, a total of six fellowships will be awarded, with three reserved for storytellers living in rural communities.
