Jennifer grew up in Northern Wallowa County on a ranch. Herding sheep, working cattle, working in wheat fields. She studied Art, Science and Education at the University of Oregon receiving a BS, MS and MFA. She enjoys teaching, especially the next generation, sharing her gifts and insights helping to inspire creativity in others.

We are honored to have master printmaker Lisa Mackie here as our first printmaking Artist-in-Residence. On Wed., July 26, at noon, Lisa will speak about her career, techniques, inspiration and more. She will do a slideshow presentation and the event will be presented live on YouTube or you may attend in-person.
Lisa Mackie is our 2019 printmaking residency award winner, based in New York. Lisa will be an Artist in Residence at Josephy Center from Mid-July through Mid-August, 2023. Her work will be on display in our main gallery July 27th- August 1st.
In her exhibition “Rondo” a term in reference to a musical form that contains a principal theme which alternates with one or more contrasting themes, Mackie explores the process of visual memory, evolving imagery, and continuous motion through her journey in India in 1999.
The festival is the largest juried fine art exhibition in Eastern Oregon, featuring representational realism as well as contemporary art from the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
